Academic License

We want to encourage academic, research, and non-profit institutions to use this system.

Our applications integration with the C# compiler library makes it ideal for computer science courses.

Game License

DarkWynter claims no copyright over the Game layer code base.

It is our intention that developers using our system may retain copyright their work in the Game layer.

Game layer code included in the download is left at tutorial sample code to help users get started.

User's requiring support for additional functionality are encouraged to contact us.

Engine and Stream License

Distribution of modified source code is prohibited without written consent from the source code's original developers. We apply the GNU Free Documentation Licence to all packages written by DarkWynter, excluding the Game layer tutorial material.

GNU's Free Documentation License was initially intended as a device for supporting the documentation of copylefted software. It allows authors to apply limitations to certain sections of their work, and can be applied to any kind of document. The License allows authors to exempt parts of their creation from the full copyleft mechanism. These limitations include the use of invariant sections, which may not be altered by future editors. DarkWynter discloses Engine and Stream layer source code as attached to the invariant section to maintain continuity of the main development branch.

Read-only access to source code is provided to facilitate research and debugging. Dll's may be redistributed if the original source code has not been changed.
