The player will be able to choose from many different avatars. The character model will be created in a 3D rendering program such as MilkShape and exported to the DirectX format (.x) (R-CR-1). Most of the characters will be invisible cloaked figures with hats. Using the invisible characters will greatly minimize our animation work and it fits well with the theme of our game.
The player can choose from a vareity of different avatars. The default avatar is an invisible cloaked wizard with a pointy hat. We plan on applying some simple shaders on the cape and/or hat to give it some dynamic animation (R-CR-2). We also intend to apply a special effect to the character to allow them to show the visible effect of being hit.
